Assessing your child
Prior to your child's initial assessment, you will asked to complete a questionaire, which will provide important information about your child's medical and developmental background and functional skill level. Teachers may also be asked to complete a questionaire about how your child is managing at pre-school/school.
A 1.5-2 hour comprehensive assessment is then completed using a variety of standardised and non-standardised tests to ascertain your child's current level of skill and areas of weakness.
You will be provided with a full report which includes recommendations, treatment program and therapy plan. A parent feedback session will discuss the assessment findings and recommendations in depth.
